I’ve been using Glacier Gloves over the last couple of weeks while fishing nearby rivers in search of trout and salmon. The temperature has been just below freezing for much of that time but I was able to keep fishing in comfort thanks to these gloves. I think most fishermen overlook this important piece of equipment, but you’ll be able to spend more time fishing and less time with you hands in your pockets with a proper pair of gloves.
Glacier Outdoor has developed a whole line of gloves specifically designed for fishermen and I’ve been lucky enough to be testing out their top of the line, premium neoprene gloves. These gloves feature finger slits for for the thumb and index finger which allows you to complete tasks such as tying knots without having to remove your gloves. Stay tuned for a full review!

Look a lot like the neoprene glove I’ve got, but without the extras! Mind you mine are super cheap. Is the padding on the middle finger nice or annoying? Looking forward to the full review!
Jonathon Marshall on April 21st, 2010 @ 11:23 pmThe slip-on fingers type thing looks like an old idea. I used to have an OLD OLD pair that was like that, but it was a stitched nylon-sweater material. The material is probably very good at keeping warm even when wet.
Araret on April 21st, 2010 @ 11:28 pmThe padding on the middle finger isnt annoying at all, just feels like the other fingers really.
Clive Mathias on April 22nd, 2010 @ 7:32 amThose look great. I would have killed for a pair when we went pollock fishing this past winter.
