The Magellan ToughCase is more than just a case to prevent your iphone from breaking if you drop it. The ToughCase features an additional battery and extended GPS receiver wrapped in a shockproof waterproof exterior. The ToughCase will definitely protect your iPhone, but at $200 bucks it’s not exactly protecting your wallet. Especially since “accidentally damaged” iPhones are easily the number 1 way people get upgrades, and with the iPhone 4 coming soon you’ll probably want to wait.

You’re also probably saying to yourself that it looks pretty bulky, and you’d be extremely correct, it’s about 3 times the thickness of the iPhone 3GS (even more iPhone 4’s). The touch screen still works through the case of course, and you can still talk on the phone normally and even listen to music through the headphone jack. Combine this with theNavionics Lake Maps app and you’ve turned the iPhone into the ultimate boat accessory.

You know this really has me considering building an iphone transducer and app – that would be a cool project that nobody else is probably working on right now, and with the dock getting more and more open to the iPhone developers API I wonder if I could pull it off..

You’re right, with the new iphone coming out I wouldn’t spend the money. Also, I’ve never seen that navioncs maps before thats pretty awesome I think I’m gonna download it. Will it work on an ipod touch too?

April, I cannot be sure where the photo was taken. The exhibit above is a travelling exhibit so it could have been at any of their destinations. http://www.savageancientseas.com/

Re: Boomerang Tool: The Pliers That Come Right Back - First Impressions
The pliers do have some small teeth, they don't really show up in these photos but I'll try to get some for the full review. & I'll definitely be testing their durability!

Re: Pantyhose Can Protect You From Jellyfish Stings
I believe there are dermal patches that you can wear, I hear they work better (and faster) than the pills. Dunno if they have them in EU..
